Rests

The arrow rest controls how the arrow leaves the bow, and the right type depends on your bow, your style, and how much tuning you want to do.

About rests

The rest is where the arrow sits and how it launches, so it has an outsized effect on accuracy. Drop-away rests fall clear as the arrow leaves, giving maximum fletching clearance and a clean release, and are popular with compound shooters. Launcher and blade rests suit target recurve and compound setups that are tuned closely. Containment-style rests hold the arrow securely for hunting and rough handling. The right rest depends on your bow, the arrows you shoot, and how much fine-tuning you want to do — all things we’re glad to talk through.
